Simangaliso Sibaya Simanga is a freelance concept artist and character designer from Soweto, South Africa. He studied at The Animation School, South Africa.

Simangaliso Sibaya together with Ntsako Terence Tako Maluleke, Tomoya Imai and Peter Ramsey led a drawing workshop at the Isivivana Centre during Cape Town International Animation Festival 2019.

From a profile on the Cape Town International Animation Festival website, he is currently working for a company called Diprente Films as a Visual Developer, Concept Artist, and Character Designer. He enjoys and practices both traditional and digital forms of art and is inspired by the world around him.

He’s also working on a show with Terence Maluleke (Tako Universe) called DOGS BOX, about dogs boxing, and the politics behind the action-packed sport.

Simangaliso aka Panda Exlamated’s art is hella cool. His character designs and concepts are magical, colorful and take your imagination on wild adventures. Phew, we can’t get enough and we bet you won’t either.
