Perseverance and consistency are superpowers available to everyone that only a few elites truly succeed at. Bolaji Olaloye is one of those few elites who took the mantra, practice makes perfect to a cosmic, inspiring level.
Every single day last year, the Art Nerd posted a different illustration on his social media. That’s 365 different illustrations over the course of 12 months! These were mostly character designs and fan art running the gamut of different styles.
Bolaji was kind enough to also include time-lapse process videos showing his process. These videos are a refreshing way to teach, inspire and showcase Bolaji’s techniques to artists and enthusiasts alike.
The ability to do anything every day, to be disciplined and so consistent is admirable. To draw every day without pause while still doing other related jobs is remarkable.
In his last submission, he shares, “ACHIEVEMENT UNLOCKED!!! I succeeded in creating over 365 drawings this year and I’m proud to say I did not miss a single day. This was super challenging and fun at the same time wow”.
On how he didn’t give up, Bolaji says nothing is impossible if you put your mind to it. Bolaji’s challenge is truly inspiring and we can’t wait to see what new achievements he unlocks this year!
I had to push myself beyond my limit to see this through. There were many times I felt like giving up but nothing is impossible if you put your mind to it.Bolaji Olaloye (@artnerdx)
Who said there aren’t enough hours in the day to do something epic? Bolaji’s drawing challenge for all intents and purposes, is magic and hope for the future!
Cheers to the new year! Enjoy.
