Are you a designer passionate about ending world hunger? Ello, the social network for creators in partnership with Global Citizen has launched the Be the Generation Poster Design contest. The selected artists will get between $2,000 and $5,000 and crazy exposure. The initiative from what we gather is especially interested in African & African diaspora artists.
To celebrate the legacy of Nelson Mandela, Global Citizen is running a campaign asking citizens to “Be the Generation to End Extreme Poverty.” It will engage Global Citizens on the first six Global Goals towards ending extreme poverty: zero hunger, good health and well-being, quality education, gender equality, and clean water and sanitation all under the banner of “Be the Generation.”
The poster design is the centre creative piece of the campaign. The design(s) will act as the grounding visual identity for all campaign materials across digital and experiential. All styles and mediums welcome!
Ideally, this design will fit under the creative umbrella of the year-long campaign of Be the Generation.
Global Citizen is looking for your original work to form the background of a poster that will include the following: a dozen artist names, logo, sponsorship lock-up, etc. Global Citizen will work with artist to incorporate these needs on the final image. What’s most important is your original work and how it captures the spirit of Be the Generation, music and the African continent, and inspirational African leaders like Neslon Mandela. Global Citizen isn’t looking for a prescriptive solution but rather how work evokes these concepts.
